Talk:Logo candidates

From Levitation

Project Name

The name symbolizes the feeling of a mass of content leaving its constraints and boundaries to be free and easily available.

Could perhaps some information be shared about how the project name was chosen? I don't see an obvious connection between the nature of the project and its name. I'm pretty sure this will help in creating less arbitrary logos. Thanks.

Added to the FAQ, thanks for asking. --Scytale 21:40, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I like it a lot. I've quoted it from the FAQ and moved this passage to the top.

misc

Hallo.

--Leon 21:00, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

All of them look nice. How about adding a line or two of explanation for each logo? To let people know what meaning shall be conferred by the symbols. Greetings :-)

the logo should relate to the original wp logo visually, as the project relates to wp. maybe much more puzzle parts, or many puzzle-worlds instead of one.

I don't think so. The project has potential so evolve into something much better. It's born from a crisis in wp. It might take some or even most of it's content from wikepedia, but there will be other sources and original content as well. I'd stay away from relating to wp.
